Frequently Asked Questions

Tool Questions

You don't have a graphic for ______.

We are always expanding our library of graphics. If you have a suggestion, please let us know.

What size and file type will my download be?

All files are .png. The file size depends on the Document size you select as well as the Print option you select.

Flyers, postcards, and business cards are designed for printing either at home or with VistaPrint. (We are not affiliated with VistaPrint. We just decided to use their dimensions so you can print through them.)

Print at Home file sizes are:

– Flyer: 8.5 in x 11 in
– Postcard: 8.205 in x 6.315 in
– Business Card: 5. 25 in x 3 in

The Pro Print options include extra space in the margins to account for VistaPrint’s bleed and trimming guidelines.

What types of custom image files can I upload under the Premium plans?

You can upload the following file types: .jpg, .png, .svg, .bmp, and .gif.

The font looks blurry or jagged. Will it display and print that way?

If you notice blurry and jagged looking fonts as you are building your document, don’t worry. It won’t download or print that way.

Several things impact the way the font looks in your browser, such as which browser you are using and whether you’ve minimized your screen. We recommend using Chrome or Firefox at full screen width and height in order to get a view that most closely resembles the quality of the downloaded or printed work.

Example: Minimized Chrome Window. Notice the jagged edges on the “l”.

Example: Max sized FireFox screen. Now the “l”s are nice and smooth.

The background on my business card looks blurry.

If you have selected a background image for your business card, it may look blurry in the tool. This is because the business card on the screen is way bigger than a printed business card. The background should look nice and crisp when you download the image.

How long will my works be available on Zanifesto?

Your works will continue to be available on Zanifesto for five years from the creation date. If this policy changes, Zanifesto will notify members through email.

Intellectual Property Questions

Who owns the copyright of my completed work?

You own the copyright of your completed work. Zanifesto retains copyright ownership of the individual graphics provided in the library. The fonts and backgrounds are used under a Creative Commons license and copyright ownership is retained by the original owner.

Why do you ask for permission to share my work?

People like to see infographics for inspiration and entertainment. Since you own the copyright of your complete work, we need your permission to add it to our gallery, display it on our homepage, include it in an email newsletter, or share it on one of our social media sites. These are the only ways we will use your work, and you will always be credited.

Can I upload images I find on the internet?

You can only upload images to which you are the trademark or copyright owner, or you have permission from the owner. It is your responsibility to read the license agreement of images you find and purchase for use to see if and how you are allowed to use it.

Zanifesto has a zero tolerance policy for intellectual property violations. Users who violate another’s intellectual property rights will be reported and banned from Zanifesto.

Can I remove the Zanifesto logo from my free infographic?

No, you cannot remove or hide the Zanifesto footer from the bottom of infographics made through the Free plan. The deal is that you get to use our tool for free in exchange for a bit of advertising.

If you do not want to have the Zanifesto footer at the bottom of your infographic, please upgrade to the Premium or Unlimited plan.

Can I use one of your graphics in my logo?

No. You cannot use the graphics in our library in your logo. We retain the intellectual property rights, including trademark and copyright ownership, of many of the individual graphics in the library. The rights of other graphics are retained by their owners.

Do I retain the rights to graphics I upload?

If you are the copyright owner, then yes. The original owner will retain the copyrights and trademarks to items you upload.

Zanifesto or a user is using my intellectual property without my permission. What do I do?

Zanifesto has a zero tolerance policy for intellectual property infringement. If Zanifesto or a user is mistakenly or intentionally violating your intellectual property rights, please contact us immediately.
